The Haven is a registered charity providing support to people affected by a range of life limiting illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease and dementia and will signpost others to services appropriate to their needs.
The role of a Centre Volunteer is varied but integral to the services we provide. The Centre Volunteer plays an important role in creating a welcoming, relaxed and safe environment for our visitors and clients. The role can include spending dedicated time with Haven clients, making tea or coffee, listening to them and assisting with keeping the centre clean, tidy and well-stocked.
