Lanark Amateur Swimming Club was originally founded in 1964. It strives to improve the standard of swimming within the District and offers competitive opportunities for its club members.

The national governing body is the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association (SASA), based in Stirling, and they are affiliated to SASA West District, whose offices are in Glasgow.

The club has enjoyed many success stories over the years, with swimmers winning titles at District and National level. Well aware that not all children will attain this standard, the club offers opportunities for all young swimmers whatever their level.
