Threadbare Lanark suffer heavy defeat against Police Scotland

Iain Hughes’ side gave their all in a challenging encounter

A depleted Lanark side battled bravely against Police Scotland but succumbed to a 88-14 defeat in Glasgow last Saturday.

The kick off time was brought forward to noon to accommodate the Scotland international meaning that Lanark were forced to travel with a small squad due to various work commitments.

To their credit Lanark stemmed the initial one-way traffic, crossing twice in the second half with their tries being scored by Johnny Pringle and Declan Moore.

Player availability is becoming a serious problem for the club who are due to travel to Stranraer this Saturday, particularly if the scheduled kick-off remains at 2pm.
