Lanark ASC’s Mitchell Stevenson stars at Scottish Open Championships

Mitchell was part of the side that won gold in the event

Lanark ASC’s Mitchell Stevenson helped South Lanarkshire Swim Team clinch the Scottish Junior 4x100m medley relay title at the Scottish Open Championships in Aberdeen.

Mitchell swam in the butterfly leg of the event with the South Lanarkshire outfit finishing sixth overall out of 27 teams.

He then went on to feature for Lanark ASC at the Scottish Summer Meet at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh.

Mitchell, who was suffering from an ear infection, won silver in the 200m butterfly at the Scottish Summer Meet and finished 5th in the 100m butterfly.

Lanark’s other finalist was Erin Snow with the 15-year-old reaching all three breaststroke finals, finishing fourth in the 50m and fifth in the 100m and 200m.
