Healthy Valleys secures funding for local mental health support
Healthy Valleys has been awarded funding through Inspiring Scotland to help provide support to Resilient Families. The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health fund will allow us to provide help for mothers, infants and their families who are in need of mental health support.
With the anticipated easing of lockdown restrictions over the coming months, Healthy Valleys will be offering a mix of 1-2-1 and group sessions. Some of the community support available will be;
• Stress management course
• Wellbeing walks
• Mindfulness course
• Wellbeing calls
• Peer support groups
• Training for staff and volunteers
• Online support
• Yoga classes
Healthy Valleys is a community led health initiative established 2003 by community members, voluntary and public sector agencies. The organisation's vision is to reduce health inequalities, promote positive lifestyles and improve health and wellbeing in rural South Lanarkshire.
