Community Council funding boost for local groups

RBLCC Micro Grants

No photo call this year - 2019's recipients of the Micro Grant Awards

The Royal Burgh of Lanark Community Council (RBLCC) are pleased to announce 2020's recipients of the South Lanarkshire Renewable Energy fund Micro Grants. 

Grants of £1 to £500 were available for organisations inside the boundary of the Royal Burgh of Lanark Community Council.

The recipients of the 2020 allocation of funds are:

  • 2nd Lanark Guides: Health and Safety funding to make the Guide Hall safe & welcoming after a period of absence during Covid for 105 children & young people.
  • Lanark Community Development Trust: Mural painting with Castlebank Park's historic stone grotto.
  • Kirkfield United Football Team: Kit & equipment for training for the new recruits born 2013/2014.
  • Lanark Universal Connections: Sports equipment and cart to transport the equipment, for outside use.
  • Hear for You: Funds to support counselling and support, for anyone in crisis or struggling with life-death issues.
  • Friends of Smiddy Court: Funds to help celebrate the 30 Year anniversary of Smiddy Court, and to further enhance the Community spirit of this sheltered housing complex.
  • Tolbooth Lanark: Replacement of chairs in the upper meeting room.
  • Lanark in Bloom: Funds to purchase compost, pots, fertilisers and other sundries to sustain the planting of tubs, flower beds etc within the town.
