Lanark's set for September Weekend activities

If you're ending September with a long weekend, here are some ideas to keep you busy in and around Lanark!
Kick start your weekend with an evening meal at The Restaurant at the Woodpecker. The 'Date Night' special is available on Wendesday and Thursday evenings, offering fantastic value at £40 for two people to enjoy steaks and a bottle of wine. Click here to book.
You can also pop into The Tolbooth over the weekend (not Sunday) to see September's exhibition 'Landmarks', featuring line drawings of prominent Lanark buildings.
If you're looking to keep the kids busy on Friday, take them along to the Autumn Family Gardening Club at Castlebank Horticultural Centre. If the weather is nice in the afternoon, why not enjoy a picnic at The Loch or head to New Lanark World Heritage Site for one of their famous ice creams?

Get ready to SHOUT on Saturday evening as LULU returns to Lanark Memorial Hall as part of her 'On Fire' Tour! On Fire is a show packed full of hits, in which Lulu takes us on her own personal journey through her music. Supported by a 4-piece band, LED screen with carefully selected family and career defining moments. Take it easier on Sunday and visit the new exhibition at New Lanark World Heritage Site, 'Snapshots of a Lost World: The Decline of Scottish Industry'. Stretch your legs on Monday and enjoy one of the many walks around the town. You can follow in the Footsteps of William Wallace, marvel at the Falls of Clyde and see magnificent views from the top of Tinto. Bypass Castlebank Park and you can also pick up one of the new 'Wildflower and Tree guide' leaflets in the car park to see which varieties you can spot on your walks.
