Lanark’s Burgess Ticket nomination window for 2019 is now open and the easiest way to propose someone you think deserves this accolade is by using The Lanark Website.

A Burgess Ticket recognises the achievements of a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the town over the years. Many recipients have been involved in local community groups and this tradition celebrates their hard work.

A Burgess Ticket recipient does not need to live in Lanark, but nominations must be proposed and seconded by someone who stays in the town.

You can nominate as many people as you like with the deadline closing at midnight on Saturday 8th June 2019.

The initiative, organised by the Royal Burgh of Lanark Community Council, culminates in a presentation ceremony later this year when the recipients are announced.

You can make your nominations by filling out the entry form below and your vote will be sent to the Royal Burgh of Lanark Community Council for consideration.
