About Border

At Border, we are a family run business who, since 1984, have been making Beautifully Crafted Biscuits. We are the leading supplier of premium biscuits in Scotland, and we produce the number one chocolate ginger biscuit in the UK. Our amazing biscuits are produced for many major supermarkets, retailers and businesses not only in the UK, but internationally.

We believe that biscuits are one of life’s little pleasures…and our greatest passion. We believe biscuits should be nothing short of exceptional and we’re proud to make ours just that.

In our Lanark factory, 170 people are personally responsible for outstanding quality, whether they’re sourcing ingredients, weighing, mixing, baking or packing.

Pride and the desire to make something good are essential ingredients in everything we do but we also know that a truly excellent company should strive to be a force for the benefit of our society and planet. We believe that our biscuits are a Recipe for Good and we donate 10% of our profits to good causes in our local community every year.

About the Role

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a driven and ambitious NAE to join the team. This role will focus on supporting the National Account Managers (NAMs) with the day to day management of our larger customer accounts – Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsburys, the Co-operative and Nisa. This role is well suited for individuals who are keen to develop into a NAM within the food industry.

You will work with our NAMs to help to grow the business by providing the insight, running reports from each of the retailer portals which are used to facilitate business planning and forecasting. The role involves working closely with the wider sales and marketing team internally, whilst also supporting the day to day queries and requests from the retail buying teams - a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills is therefore required. The NAE will also be fundamental in supporting the new product launch process, and in doing so will represent the sales team at weekly meetings held internally to track the critical path to launch. You may be asked to attend store visits, mainly in Scotland, hence you will need to be prepared to travel on occasion.

You will have experience in a sales role within a food or FMCG Company, ideally in a branded environment. Previous experience of using retailer systems, such as MSD and Retail Link is desirable, but non-essential as full training would be provided. You will have excellent attention to detail and above all have a “can do” attitude.

What Border Can Offer

In turn, we can offer you a position in a growing Company with excellent benefits including a Profit Share Scheme, a pension scheme, discounted gym membership, Perkbox discounts, excellent development opportunities, free fruit, and volunteering days.

If this sounds like you, please get in touch and send us a CV, or contact and put ‘NAE Role’ in the subject line.
