Shining bright - Fringes on Lanark High Street has been voted the town's best festive window

To kick of 2020's festive season and help spread cheer within the town, Lanark Community Development Trust launched the annual competition for Lanark’s shops to decorate their window with their best festive display. 

Over the 4-week public nomination period, over 150 individual nominations were received for 12 businesses within the town. 

The top three finalists with the most public nominations were: Fringes, Mezza Hair and Helen R Beauty Room. 

Public voting then took place on Facebook to select the winner with the most amount of Facebook photo reactions (Likes, Hearts etc). 

The winner of the public vote was Fringes with 364 votes. Fringes win a £100 Lanark restaurant voucher which they will be able to enjoy once local restrictions allow. 

The two runners up, Mezza and Helen R Beauty Room will both receive a bottle of champagne, which they will be presented with once restrictions allow. 

Lanark Community Development Trust wishes to congratulate Fringes, Mezza, Helen R Beauty Room and all of the participants on their festive efforts to help spread cheer within the town during these difficult times.
