The Lanark Choral, an amateur community choir based in Lanark, has returned to in person singing holding weekly meetings on Monday evenings in Greyfriars Church.
To keep the choir alive during lockdown weekly virtual choir sessions were successfully held. Now the choir members are delighted to be able to get back to what they love best namely singing together.
The choir has appointed a new musical director namely Kirst Robertson (see her photo arrached) who has vast experience in leading choirs and who has injected fun and enthusiasm into the choir.
Choir members enjoy health benefits from regular singing including immune system boost, lower blood pressure, mood enhancement, pain relief and social contact. Maybe choir membership should be available on prescription!
The choir hopes to go from strength to strength and new members are always welcome. No auditions required!
