The Broomgate Café is a cosy, family-run eatery in Lanark's historic Broomgate

Owner Laura has lived in Lanark most of her life, and has worked in catering establishments for most of her career. She had always dreamed of running her own business, and this summer that dream came true!

Opening a new business during the COVID-19 pandemic was always going to be a challenge, but Laura has been delighted with the support of local people and all of the positive feedback received so far. 

The Broomgate Café provides freshly made breakfasts, lunches and soups. Customers can also enjoy homemade cakes and a selection of coffees, teas and soft drinks.

Laura would love people to "come and try our fresh food, good coffee and friendly service."

The Broomgate Café is currently takeaway only under Tier 4 restrictions, but looks forward to opening sit-in again on 12th December.
