Rotary Club of Lanark

Dr Jill Murie, retired local GP, has received the President’s Chain of Office from Past President Dr David Gemmell. Dr Murie, who joined Lanark Rotary in 2018 has been International and Rotary Foundation Convenor for the past 2 years. She has raised funds for a food security programme in Senegal, the Rotary ‘End Polio Now’ campaign and the World Child Cancer charity. Dr Murie has also distributed 11 Kindle Fire tablets to people in residential care and community support groups to reduce the stress and isolation caused by isolation during the Covid pandemic.
