Lanark’s oldest nail salon has a new lease of life!

Lush Studios & Training Academy has recently undergone a huge transformation. After 10 years in Lanark, owner and beauty instructor Lisa has been hard at work turning her business from a small nail bar into a state-of-the-art nail studio, massage parlour, salon, and training centre.

 Lisa said, “I have been in the beauty industry for over 23 years, and I am so happy that I am now in a position to help pass what I’ve learned on to others who share my passion. I love the teaching side of the business, and now I have the space to be able to provide this extra service.”

 Lisa spent her lockdown days writing a detailed training guide. Her aim is to provide comprehensive courses with plenty of hands-on training. All the courses are ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists) accredited, and no prior experience is needed.

 Customers have reacted very positively to Lisa’s recently renovated premises in Bloomgate. She said, “It has been great and the compliments I have received have been so rewarding. It is fantastic to see so many of my regular clients return to the studio after such an uncertain 18 months.”

 Lisa added that her loyal and devoted client base reaches far beyond Lanark. “I am fortunate that customers have been so positive, and word has spread. I have regular clients who come from Uddingston, Wishaw and even as far as Glasgow.”

 The many 5-star reviews on Lisa’s Facebook page reflect this positivity.  Lisa believes that the key to her success has been the wide variety of products and services on offer. From couple’s grooming packages to kids’ parties to vegan friendly products, there is literally something for everyone.

 Lisa is planning to expand her team and is already looking to build on the success of her business. “I am very excited looking to the future and want to use my experience to enable others to follow their passion.”
