The Scottish SPCA is appealing for items for dogs in the care of their Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
The centre in Hamilton has cared for over 250 dogs in 2021 so far and need small bite complete dry dog food and poo bags. Items can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon wishlist or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the centre.
Centre manager Gillian Boyle said, “We’re always busy at the centre and have a lot of hungry mouths to feed.
“We are appealing for donations of essential food for the dogs in our care.
“We are in need of IAMS Small/Medium Breed dry dog food and Arden Grange Mini Adult dry dog food. This food helps keep dogs like Pharaoh and Mr Bailey happy and healthy until they’re ready to be adopted.
“Pharaoh and Mr Bailey have been lucky enough to find their forever home and are now reserved but we still have plenty of mouths to feed.
“As people can probably imagine, we also go through a large number of poo bags every day and we’d really welcome donations as stocks are running a bit low!
“We are so thankful for your support so that we can continue to provide the best possible care for the animals at our centre.
“We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know the dogs will be too.”
Dog food and poo bags can be donated via the centre’s Amazon wishlist here: https://amzn.to/3craF2Z or sent from another online retailer that can deliver. Items can also be left in the donation bins outside the centre at Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0SB.
