Festive fun for all the family in Lanark

Christmas in Lanark town centre promises to be extra special and super sparkly this year. 

The official countdown starts on Saturday 20th November with the eagerly awaited return of Lanark Christmas Market.

With scores of stalls filled with festive goodies lining Lanark’s High Street, and the town’s shopkeepers offering you a warm welcome, it’s the ideal time to start your Christmas shopping.

There’s lots of fantastic entertainment and music lined up too with festive characters aplenty wandering the streets providing good cheer.

And finally, as the afternoon draws to a close, enjoy a tasty treat in one of our many cafes and restaurants as the Christmas lights take effect and the town’s Christmas tree comes to life with sparkling new lights and decorations, provided by Rotary Club of Lanark.

Back by popular demand, Discover Lanark’s Winter Wonderland opens its gates to families from far and wide from Wednesday 24th November until Tuesday 28th December. With exciting new displays and scenes, it’s guaranteed to put a big smile on the face of the youngsters and be the centrepiece of many a family Christmas photo.

Friday 26th November brings Late Night Lanark when the town’s businesses keep their doors open till 8pm and you are invited to shop till you drop! With a dollop of festive entertainment added in, and the Winter Wonderland open till late, what better way to pick up some gifts and entertain the kids?
