Lanark ASC continued their hectic schedule of competitions when six swimmers took part in the two day West District Senior Age Group Championships at Grangemouth, with Erin Snow taking a bronze medal back to the Royal Burgh.

Erin was in fine form winning a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke and secured top six finishes in a further four events: 200m breaststroke, 100m butterfly, 200m backstroke and 200m IM.

Abbigail McArthur was fourth in the 200m backstroke and sixth in the 800m freestyle.  In the same age group Heather Stevenson was sixth in the 100m breaststroke, 200m freestyle and 400m IM

Lucy Jones and Mia Rae set new personal marks in their specialist backstroke events as did Alistair Dunsmore in butterfly and breaststroke.

After the meet coach Karen Kelly said: “Many of the swimmers had been away during the school holiday week so on the whole they can be satisfied with their performances.”
