After their recent triumph in the east at the Peebles Stars of the Future Meet at Galashiels, Lanark ASC found themselves on the west coast of Scotland when 28 swimmers competed in the Sue McClure Meet at Ayr.

The swimmers were again in fine form winning 23 ‘swam too fast’ awards, eight gold, eight silver and four bronze medals. More importantly, the swimmers also posted 67 personal best times.

The award winners were: Katie Towers, Justin Bone, Craig Shaw, Millie McArthur, Ellarose Stewart, Cameron Bruce, Caitlyn Hamilton, Niamh Jeffrey, Anya McLaughlin, Connor Fallon, Euan McLeod, Lucy Jones, Abbigail McArthur, Mia Rae, Heather Stevenson and Alistair Dunsmore.

Coach Karen Kelly said: “A familiar pool but another new Meet for the club.

“It was a successful day of swimming for Lanark, especially for our younger children who gained experience in swimming in a two session competition.”
