Stephen Brogan leaves Lanark United as pre-season begins

Brogan had been at the club for the past three seasons

Lanark United will begin pre-season training on Wednesday evening without Stephen Brogan, who has left his position as assistant manager of the Moor Park club.

Brogan joined the Yowes alongside his father, manager John, in September 2014 as part of the coaching team before stepping up to the assistant role to replace Jimmy Kerr last season.

Brogan is now concentrating on his teaching career with James McBride joining the Royal Burgh outfit as assistant manager.

Lanark have also appointed Scott Gemmell to their coaching team who has previously managed Mill United and brings extensive knowledge of the youth game.

The new-look coaching team will have a chance to shape the Lanark side ahead of the new campaign with three friendlies in place. Lanark will travel to Lugar Boswell Thistle on Saturday 15 July before hosting Alloa Athletic U20 on Saturday 22 July and travelling to Blackburn United on Saturday 29 July.
