Castlebank Park looking rosy after donation boost
The hard-working volunteers have transformed Castlebank Park in recent years
Castlebank Park is set to blossom this summer after the Lanarkshire Master Plumbers Association made a donation of £250 to buy climbing roses for the Wallace Memorial garden.
Tom Galloway, a member of the plumbing group and volunteer at Castlebank Park, is keen to see the new garden flourish and the roses will be planted later this week.
Sylvia Russell, chair of the Lanark Community Development Trust, thanked the group for their support.
She said: “This generous donation will be used to purchase some climbing roses to be planted along the line of the new fence in the Wallace Memorial Garden at Castlebank.”
